    Our Downtown Wine Walk was a big hit last year, so we are planning to have it again in Fort Bragg from 12 - 4 PM on Saturday, March 16th.

  • The Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce and Visit Fort Bragg are thrilled to bring back the Fort Bragg Whale Festival Wine Walk in Downtown Fort Bragg!

    Enjoy beautiful wines and hors d'oeuvres from over a dozen wineries from Mendocino County while visiting our local shops and quaint downtown area. Whale watch from miles of beaches including along the coastal trail in Fort Bragg.

    Must be 21 years of age with your ID. Admission is $50.00 prior to the event and $60.00 at the door.

    When: Saturday, March 16th from 12:00-4:00 pm  
    Where: Gymnasium at City Hall, 213 E. Laurel St., Fort Bragg, CA  
    Tickets for the wine walk are $50 in advance and can be bought online at eventbrite, and at the Mendocino Coast Chamber office at 217 S Main Street, Fort Bragg. Tickets purchased day of the event at the welcome center will be $60.

  • Noyo Center for Marine Science

    • March 2-31: Guided Whale Walks: Join Noyo Center for Marine Science volunteer docents on a guided walk along the Coastal Trail, starting at the Noyo Headlands South Trail, ending at the Crow’s Nest Interpretive Center. Dress warmly and bring your binoculars. Every Saturday and Sunday in March, 10 AM - 12 N. Sunday walks will feature both Spanish and English speaking docents.
    • March 15: Whale Trivia and Science Social – Hands Through Time: The night starts with a whale trivia contest, followed by a Science Social presentation by whale expert Jeff Jacobsen called “Hands Through Time.” Noyo Center Marine Field Station, 32430 N. Harbor Drive, Fort Bragg. Friday, March 15, 6:00 pm. $10-$20

    • March 16: Marine Themed Marionette Show: Marionette performance by Chris Oates with a focus on marine life. Thirty-minute show perfect for families. Noyo Center Marine Field Station, 32430 N. Harbor Drive, Fort Bragg. Saturday, March 16, 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM (two performances) $5

    • March 16: Humpback Acoustics: Whale acoustics expert Jeff Jacobsen will share recent recordings of humpback songs from excursions off the Mendocino Coast. Enjoy this special pop-up exhibit, in addition to the other exhibits at the Discovery Center. Discovery Center Museum, 338 N. Main Street, Fort Bragg. Saturday, March 16, 12:00 - 4:00 pm

    • March 16: Marine Mammal Exhibit Open House: The Noyo Center will open the doors to its Marine Field Station in Noyo Harbor to showcase a variety of marine mammal skeletons and new displays. While there, enjoy the wildlife (sea lions, harbor seals, and river otters) and great view of the Noyo River from the Field Station deck. Noyo Center Marine Field Station, 32430 N. Harbor Drive, Fort Bragg. Saturday, March 16, 2:00 - 5:00 PM

    • March 16: Science Cinema: "Right Over the Edge":  A screening of the documentary Right Over the Edge, which chronicles North Pacific Right Whales. The filmmakers will be on hand for a Q & A after the film. Noyo Center Marine Field Station, 32430 N. Harbor Drive, Fort Bragg. Saturday, March 16, 7:00 pm. $10

    • March 17: Mendonoma Whale & Seal Study: Mendonoma Whale & Seal Study’s Scott and Tree Mercer will be on hand at the Crow’s Nest to do a daily count of migrating gray whales. They’ll help visitors spot whales and answer questions about these incredible creatures. While there, enjoy the marine science exhibits at the Crow’s Nest. Crow’s Nest Interpretive Center, Noyo Headlands South Trail. Sunday, March 17, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    • March 17: Larry Foster Book Signing: Local author and artist Larry Foster will be signing copies of his stunning book The Art of Discovering Whales. Discovery Center Museum, 338 N. Main Street, Fort Bragg. Sunday, March 17, 12:00 - 2:00 pm.
